Elvis Festival, Parkes Australia { 17 images } Created 13 Jan 2014
For one weekend in January Elvis fever takes over the small NSW country town of Parkes.
Every year an estimated 18,000 revellers go to sing, boogie and celebrate “the King” of rock and roll. More than doubling the population of the town in the state's central west.
Despite the heat and isolated location, punters flock from all over Australia to put on a costume, watch live music or even get behind the microphone for some karaoke.
This was the Elvis Festival's 22nd year.
